Wednesday Discernment link

By Jodith | April 9, 2008

While this blog seems to be primarily devoted to men, it still is a very nice site with articles gathered from a wide variety of sources. Give it a check out: Roman Catholic Vocations

And here’s another site I discovered: Catholics On Call. Again, it’s directed mostly at young Catholics, but still an interesting site. Someday someone is going to start a site for older vocations!

Thank you for the link to my blog, and I am certainly happy to learn about yours.

For what it’s worth I wouldn’t say that my blog is primarily devoted to men, since many of my posts are about women’s religious communities. Interestingly, some time ago someone said my blog was primarily devoted to women’s religious vocations! In reality it’s devoted to Roman Catholic Vocations - Priesthood, Permanent Diaconate, Religious Life, and from time to time Holy Matrimony. Typically I post stories that I come across on the iternet related to vocations which tends to dictate what’s on my blog at any given time. I pray that it serves as an online resource for stories, articles, documents, Papal addresses and homilies, videos, and anything else I can find directly related to vocations. In turn I hope it serves those who are discerning, working with, or are interested in vocations.

    Yours in Christ,
    Brad Watkins

*laughs* I scrolled through the first 3 or 4 pages of your blog and mostly saw things about the priesthood, so assumed that was your primary emphasis. That’s what I get for assuming.

Still, even from what I read, I thought it was a valuable resource on vocations in general, which is why I highlighted it last week.

Keep up the great work encouraging vocations!

    Hi!

Would be good to put an “About Us” Page. I just assume you are a nun cause of the theme and layout :)

Also, putting categories would be good instead of all being uncategorized. Would be easier for us readers to go though your site once its full of content :)

Keep it up! Will be coming back for your updates.
